This workshop has been designed to be helpful for beginners through experienced genealogists. Learn the basics of documentation and how records can be located, finding genealogical information and checking it for accuracy. Learn how to use the state and federal census records to jump start your research. Lyle Potter is a member of the Northeast Iowa Genealogical Society and the Iowa State Genealogical Society. He has worked with genealogy for 40 years and completed classes to obtain a Professional Learning Certificate in Genealogical Studies, among other degrees. He's been teaching various classes and workshops in the area and Hawkeye College. We will have a 30 minute lunch break. Bring a sack lunch. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
