In-Library Events for Kids


 

 

Pages & Play Club:

Pages & Play Club will meet on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. All ages welcome. 
What is Pages & Play Club?  It's what we call our Storytime.  We feature books, songs, and activities aimed at young children, plus at the end there's playtime and socialization for the kids and chatting for the grownups!

We are working on offering a Baby Bounce & Toddler Time in the future.  If you have any suggestions about what time works best for you, let Katie know at kschuelke@oelwein.lib.ia.us or call the library.  Keep an eye on this space for more details.
 
 

Theme Thursdays:   

Theme Thursdays meets on Thursdays at 4:00 p.m.
This is a weekly after school program that is intended for elementary and secondary students.
Meet at the library on Thursdays from 4:00-5:00 pm. This weekly program will cover a different topic each week, from science to technology to art and everything in between. LEGO's will be featured one week each month.

Library Tours & Class Visits:

A visit to the library is an excellent way to encourage a love of books and reading. Special tours can be arranged for groups of children
upon request. Children will be shown around the library and given special instruction on the library's automated computer system.

Reservations are required. Please call 319-283-1515 at least two weeks prior to your planned visit to arrange your tour.
