The library is open regular days and hours with the following guidelines.

  • Stay home if you are sick.

  • You must wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth while in the building. If you are unable to wear a face mask for any reason, please use our curbside service or online services.

  • Curbside services available. Call 319-283-1515.

  • Please limit your browsing time for materials to 45 minutes.

  • Returned materials will be cleaned and quarantined for 3 days before check-in.

  • Limited computers will be available for once-a-day use for 45 minutes.

  • No seating available in the library at this time. Study rooms are not available.

  • No in-library activities. (Pages & Play Club, Lego Club, puzzles, ect.)

  • Passport services are temporarily suspended.

The COVID-19 Legal Information Hotline, operated by Iowa Legal Aid in partnership with The Iowa State Bar Association and The Polk County Volunteer Lawyers Project, helps Iowans with COVID-19 issues related to evictions, foreclosures, employment, domestic violence, child custody, living wills, durable power of attorney for health care decisions, business issues and more. Volunteer lawyers provide brief, limited scope, pro bono legal services, typically in the form of one return call per hotline caller, to help Iowans navigate legal issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
