Cookbook Book Club      What is Cookbook Book Club?

A cookbook club is a gathering of cookbook enthusiasts – the best kind of people! They exchange opinions on the book and share experiences from cooking the recipes. There’s a spread of pot-luck dishes, appetizers, cookies, or other themed dishes each contributed by the members.

Usually one cookbook or theme is the focus, and it is discussed at each meeting. This allows for a tasting that is quite cohesive, since the recipes are all from the same book or theme. The group could also focus on a specific author, such as Ree Drummond, and cook anything from her collection of works.

 Here’s how it works:

 1. Select a cookbook from the circulation display.

 2. Spend some time perusing the cookbook and sample a few recipes.

 3. Make a recipe from the cookbook and bring samples to the meeting.

 4. Join us for a lively discussion of the cookbooks and some delicious taste tests.

 Themes and dates are:

December - Cookie Exchange

March - Appetizers

June – Food Network, All Recipes, or Taste of Home Magazine
September – Pot Luck Favorites
