Pop Up Programs:   

These will be programs covering a range of topics and ages on different times and days. Keep an eye out for more information on these upcoming programs!
10/29 Spooky Stories ðŸ‘» Storytime at 10:00 a.m.


10/31 Halloween Party ðŸŽƒ  from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Fayette County Conservation will be here with a fun activity for the kids.

November 3rd-9th is Children’s Book Week, when we celebrate books for our youngest patrons and the joy of reading. This year, have some help from Dog Man and his friends, who encourage everyone to “get caught reading”.

 11/5 "Get Caught Reading" Storytime at 10:00 a.m.
Discover all that children’s books have to offer during this storytime filled with fun, movement, and play.

11/5 Decorate Bookmarks  at 2:30 p.m.
Decorate a bookmark which you can then use to “get caught reading”. Attendees will be entered in a drawing to win Dav Pilkey books.

11/13 Pumpkin Book Art at 5:00 p.m.
This program is open to all ages. Learn how to turn a discarded book into seasonal art at this hands-on program. All materials supplied.

Keep an eye out for a special scavenger hunt in the children’s area during Children’s Book Week.
Anyone who completes the hunt will be entered in a drawing to win Dav Pilkey books.

Library Tours & Class Visits:

A visit to the library is an excellent way to encourage a love of books and reading. Special tours can be arranged for groups of children
upon request. Children will be shown around the library and given special instruction on the library's automated computer system.

Reservations are required. Please call 319-283-1515 at least two weeks prior to your planned visit to arrange your tour.
