In-Library Events for Kids
Pages & Play Club:
What is Pages & Play Club? It's what we call our Storytime. We feature books, songs, and activities aimed at young children, plus at the end there's playtime and socialization for the kids and chatting for the grownups!
7/2 Frogs & Toads
7/9 Summer Fun
7/16 Dinosaurs
7/23 I Can Ride a Bike
7/30 Money
We are working on offering a Baby Bounce & Toddler Time in the future. If you have any suggestions about what time works best for you, let Katie know at kschuelke@oelwein.lib.ia.us or call the library. Keep an eye on this space for more details.
Pop Up Programs:
The times, they are a changin'...or at least our programs are. Starting in July, instead of regularly-scheduled programs, we will be switching to "Pop-up Programs." These will be programs covering a range of topics and ages on different times and days. We will also be continuing our weekly storytime through the month of July. Popping up in the month of July: Legos and book art. Keep an eye out for more information on these upcoming programs!
7/10 LEGOs at 10:00 a.m.
7/29 Hedgehog Book Art at 6:00 p.m.
More information on other programs can be found here.
Library Tours & Class Visits:
A visit to the library is an excellent way to encourage a love of books and reading. Special tours can be arranged for groups of children
upon request. Children will be shown around the library and given special instruction on the library's automated computer system.
Reservations are required. Please call 319-283-1515 at least two weeks prior to your planned visit to arrange your tour.
You can visit the library's Youtube channel for previously recorded stories here.
