MakerWorld "How to"
Monday, September 14th at 6:00 p.m.
After this informal program, you will be familiar with how to use the 3D printer program MakerWorld. We will demonstrate how to create an account, how to browse for and select print profiles, and how to apply relevant filters to your search. Bring any questions you may have on using this service.
Americana Bells
Tuesday, September 15th from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Celebrate the 250th anniversary of America by decorating these bell shapes to hang in your home.
All materials are supplied. This program is geared toward adults and older children. Limit of 20 participants. This is a free program. Sign up at the circulation desk or by calling the library at 319-283-1515.

Our presenters may not be experts, but they are knowledgeable bike enthusiasts eager to share their insights. This informational program welcomes individuals of all ages.

Paper Quilled Snowflake
Thursday, October 1st at 1:30 p.m.
Learn the art of paper quilling. Get a jump start on your holiday decorating. This quilled Snowflake will make a lovely addition to your Christmas tree. 
Emily Mallory will lead this class. Emily's lifelong interest in quilling and other paper arts led to the opening of Emily's Papercrafts in 2011. She has taught countless paper crafting classes. Emily resides in Kansas with her husband and four children. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
Iowa Scenic Views By Foot
Tuesday, October 13th at 6:00 p.m.
Since 2015, Tyler has been exploring Iowa by visiting all 99 counties, with 98 completed and plans for the last in 2027. He’s challenged himself to run at least a mile in every incorporated city, totaling 1,313 cities so far. This journey has deepened his appreciation for Iowa's people, history, and landscapes through conversations, museum visits, local cafés, and festivals.
He is passionate about preserving Iowa's history. He operates the Facebook page "Iowa's Scenic Views By Foot," where he shares photos and stories from his travels, documenting the unique aspects of each county. His goal is to highlight Iowa's beauty and the stories that make it special.
Tyler is writing 99 books—one for each county—covering local museums, history, and personal experiences. He has five completed and plans to work on more during the fall and winter.
